Deconstruction: Basement

Here are some demolition pictures from the basement as of Day 3.

It’s hard to tell from the “before” picture but the kitchen was a galley kitchen confined to a tight space. In the following pictures, the divider wall is gone and the whole space opened up.

In these pictures, you can see the “before” picture of the living room and then the massive pile of garbage from the demolition from the same angle.

We’d hoped that there would be a possibility to raise the ceiling in the bathroom. Unfortunately, we discovered a concrete pad above it. So, on the bright side – we won’t touch that bathroom (except to scour it).

The guys took down the wall dividing the living room and the furnace room today. More pictures to follow.
